arise
women of prayer

We are women coming together to pray over the next generation!

We will be praying for all aspects of children’s lives, including their schools and education, influences, spiritual growth, and hope for their futures.

We believe that prayer makes a difference!

James 5:16 “The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.”

We believe in the power of using God’s Word in our prayers as we pray over children, teachers, staff at schools, and others impacting the lives of the next generation.

How can Arise Women of Prayer be praying over your children or their school?

Arise Women of Prayer FAQ

Do I have to be a mom to attend?

No! This is not a mom’s group. It’s open to any woman who has a heart to pray over the next generation.

Do I have to pray out loud if I come?

No! No one is required to pray out loud. We will have a prayer prepared (based on a scripture) that can be read and anyone is welcome to pray out loud, but you do not have to. You can simply come.

I love what you’re doing, but I can’t come to the meetings. What can I do?

If there’s anything you’d like us to pray for, you can submit prayer requests through our website. Even if you’re not meeting with us, you can still pray for the next generation. God hears your prayer, no matter where you are. You can follow the Arise Women’s Ministry Facebook page to see what scripture we are focusing on each week in our prayers.

I have younger children with me who are not in school yet. Can they come with me?

Yes! We pray in a child-friendly room at West Salem Christian Church. We understand that having small children around may mean our prayer time is interrupted, but we don’t mind. We know the importance of setting an example of praying around little ones.

Do I need to sign up and come to every meeting?

No! You do not need to sign up and you are welcome to come to whatever meetings fit your schedule.

What is the setup for your meeting? Do you pray the entire time?

This is a casual setting where we encourage fellowship and time to share prayer requests first. We will ask who wants to pray and who would like to read the prayer based on the scripture. Our focus is to pray for the next generation and those impacting their lives (schools, teachers, coaches, etc.).

Does my prayer make a difference?

Yes! God hears our prayers and they matter. James 5:16 says “The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” We know there is a spiritual battle over the lives of our youth and prayer is our weapon in fighting that battle.

Do you only pray for students in public schools?

No! We pray for students regardless of where they attend school whether it is public, private, Christian, or home school.
