“Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you.” Isaiah

Statement of Faith

Arise Women's Ministry is non-denominational and we welcome women from all different backgrounds. We can discuss our differences, but want to find our unity in Christ.

The Bible

We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God. It is the divine authority on all things of which it speaks and it defines our world view. By continually studying the Bible, we discover who God is, who we are in Him, and what His plan for humanity is.

Trinity

We believe that God exists in three persons: the Father, the Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. We accept the mystery and the wonder of one God existing in three parts.

Jesus

We believe that Jesus Christ is the one and only Son of the living God. He came to Earth in human form to show us who God is and to sacrificially die on a cross to pay the penalty for the sin of all mankind. He rose from the grave after three days, spent forty more days on Earth teaching, then ascended to Heaven to go and prepare a place for all those who would believe in Him.

Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit is the presence of God Himself, which comes to dwell in every believer of Christ. He is able to teach, convict, guide and also empower a person to do His will.

Salvation

We believe that salvation, (forgiveness of sins and eternal life in Heaven after our earthly life is over), is found in Jesus Christ alone. There is no other name by which we are saved.

Our Beliefs

Humanity

We believe that every human being has immeasurable worth and value because each one is created by God, in the image and likeness of God, to fulfill His purpose in this world. We believe that God created man and woman, and marriage is a holy union between a man and a woman.

Purpose

We believe that each follower of Christ has a unique, important, God-given purpose in this world. We believe God calls each believer to share the good news of Jesus with others who don’t know Him yet, but each of us will do this in unique ways and by building unique relationships. If a person continually seeks God’s will and purpose for his or her life, then the Holy Spirit will guide that person in daily acts of obedience and also in long-term ventures of faith and obedience. A follower of Christ should “bear much fruit” and live an abundant life in Him.

Community

We believe that God created us for community. As we spend time together with other believers, we are able to encourage one another, bear one another’s burdens, pray for one another, teach each other, and learn to forgive each other. We can grow in our spiritual and relational maturity by consistently spending time together.

*This list does not exhaust the extent of our beliefs.
